Jordan Chiles whose real name is Jordan Lucella Elizabeth Chiles was born on the 15th of April, 2001 in Tualatin, Oregon, United States. His parents were  Timothy and Gina. He grew up in Vancouver, Washington along with four siblings. Her mother named her after Michael Jordan. Jordan is currently studying at UCLA, and she is part of the college athletic team, UCLA Bruins.

It was revealed in July 2021 that her mother had been convicted of wire fraud, having allegedly stolen $1.2 million from clients over the course of four years, and had been sentenced to 366 days in jail, as well as ordered to pay her clients reparations once released. Her mother’s sentence had been postponed by one month in order for her to attend her daughter’s participation in the 2020 Summer Olympics. She is the youngest of five children. As a result, she has four siblings: Jazmin, Jade, Tajima, and Tyrust. Chiles is of mixed heritage and is of American nationality.

In 2013, Jordan started off her gymnastic career as a junior gymnast. She first appeared at the 2013 American Classic, where she was able to win the bronze medal. Then,  she competed at the 2013 P&G National Championships, where she finished at 11th place in the all-around, and sixth on vault. After a tough competition, Chiles placed eighth in the all-around at the 2015 U.S. Classic. She won the all-around title at the 2016 City of Jesolo Trophy, 2016.
