Trevor Moore was born on April 4, 1980, in Montclair, New Jersey, United States. His parents were Mickey and Becky Moore and they are Christian folk-rock artists. Trevor traveled a lot with his parents on his tour, which led him to change schools frequently. In fact, he attended five different schools.

At the young age of 15, Trevor became a published cartoonist after doing some of his early work on a book called Scrapbook. When he was 16 years old, he created the Cuddy comic for The Charlottesville Observer. Moore graduated from Covenant School when he was 18 years old.

He attended Virginia Commonwealth University. He wanted to study journalism and political science in college. In the end, however, she chose the movie. Moore also studied at the prestigious Manhattan School of Visual Arts. He is also a film graduate.
